The Courses

Microdose

45 minute Harm Reduction course

A microdose is any dose of psilocybin that is imperceptible when ingested, but that results in long term benefits when taken regularly. A typical microdose is 1 to 2mg of psilocybin.

Microdoses are usually taken on a daily or weekly schedule. Many people use it with, or as an alternative to, prescription antidepressants.

Microdosing is a great way to moderate your mood, but it can have risks. It’s important to understand who may benefit from microdosing and who may need to approach it with caution or avoid it altogether.

In this course you will learn:

  • The mechanics of psilocybin and how it works in the body;

  • What to expect when microdosing;

  • The benefits and risks of microdosing;

  • Various microdosing methods; and

  • How to access resources to facilitate your use.

For those who are +21 and complete the 45 minute course, a package of microdose edibles will be available for free. If you would like to experience microdosing for yourself, you will be gifted a package of 15 2mg psilocybin edibles.

Macrodose

1 hour Harm Reduction course

Macrodosing is what most people think when they hear the term “tripping.” Macrodosing is taking a large quantity of psilocybin to have a psychedelic experience, generally anything over 5mg of psilocybin.

At 5-10mg, this may result in mild intoxication, similar to a moderate amount of alcohol or cannabis. 10-25mg generally results in a more significant experience, including feelings of connectedness and euphoria. Doses higher than 25mg can be considered therapeutic and are regularly used to process trauma and explore personal identity.

In this course you will learn:

  • The mechanics of psilocybin and how it works in the body;

  • What to expect when macrodosing;

  • How to choose the appropriate dose;

  • The benefits and risks of macrodosing;

  • The cultural contexts of macrodosing;

  • How to access resources to support your use; and

  • Why supported experiences are critical when macrodosing.

For those who are +21 and complete the 1 hour course, a package of macrodose edibles will be available for free. If you would like to experience macrodosing and all the potential therapeutic benefits, you will be gifted a package of 10 5mg edibles.

Dedicated Educator

I come from a family of public school teachers and university professors. Education was the bedrock of my childhood and continues to be a driving force in my life today.

I firmly believe that individuals can and do make smart decisions when they are appropriately informed of their choices and the effects of their actions. Sensible psilocybin use is guided by informing the public on what psychedelics are (and aren’t) and how to use them safely and legally.

In my work, I’ve developed a network of psychedelic mental health professionals. I’m excited to bring you together with these professionals and services to make sure your psilocybin experience is exactly what you want and need it to be.

I am excited to share this information with you and to help you learn more about psilocybin’s potential.

Harm Reduction Approach

  • Before you can make a safe decision about how to use psilocybin, you have to understand the potential outcome of your actions. Before you can understand the potential outcome, you have to learn how psilocybin works. These harm reduction courses teach you the mechanisms of a psychedelic experience, who can benefit from these experiences, who should avoid them, and what precautions you should take.

  • It’s not my job to tell you what to do, but to help you make the best choice for yourself. I’ll recommend several approaches to personal use within the context of counseling, spiritual guidance, beneficial community-based use, and healing, supported use. Free personal-use quantities of psilocybin are available for those who complete the course, who provide proof that they are 21 or older, and who intend to use psilocybin within the above contexts.

  • There is no “right” way to use psilocybin. There are as many approaches to safe use as there are people. The key is understanding what you need for your experience and accessing it. At the end of the course, you will be provided with information regarding multiple services. Connect with group retreats, individual trip supervisors, and educational materials for community-based use.

  • Reducing harm doesn't stop at education. Accessible, clean, safe, and trusted consumables are also key. Harm reduction efforts largely gained traction when new, sterile needles were provided to injection substance users during the HIV/AIDS crisis. Many psilocybin edibles are not only inconsistent in dosing, but unsafe for consumption. Providing free, rigorously tested, precisely dosed, safely produced psilocybin is critical to reducing harm in our community.
